V2: The internal honeycomb structure now has enough flex to recover from being squashed completely flat - it just flexes right back into its original shape, rather than the previous model which could be crushed and broken with enough force at a single point. This also stops the carbon tube from taking point loads - reducing the problem of most carbon tiller extensions where they can snap-in-half violently, with exposed splinters. If this tiller extension fails along any point within in the handle, the failure is far more likely to be contained reliably enough to get you back to shore.
